We currently have a vacancy for a Infrastructure & Platform Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Vienna, Austria. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks:
  • Collaborate with a team of network and IT infrastructure engineers to design, implement, and optimize the foundational infrastructure for a Data Lakehouse platform, enabling AI/ML workloads and advanced analytical applications;
  • Coordinate deployments across various development teams;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot errors and performance issues in the applications;
  • Coordinate the change requests for infrastructure components upgrades or additions;
  • Modify and enhance automated deployment tools, document deployments and changes;
  • Deploy software packages to the target environments.
Requirements
  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Expert knowledge of Linux systems infrastructure setup, operations, practices and optimization;
  • Expert knowledge of containers and orchestration / Kubernetes setup and operations;
  • Expert knowledge of Hypervisor architecture and operations;
  • Expert knowledge of AI and ML application support and GPU management ;
  • Experience with virtualization, particularly VMware, Proxmox, KVM and QEMU on Linux;
  • Experience with Software-defined storage (CEPH);
  • Experience with AI and ML infrastructure setup and configuration;
  • Experience with IaC platforms, particularly Ansible and Terraform;
  • Familiarity with Cisco UCS and Cisco fabric interconnect infrastructure;
  • Familiarity with NetApp storage administration and Windows based systems administration;
  • Familiarity with Hyperconverged Infrastructure and cloud services and hybrid environments management;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
