Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Business Manager - Commercial&PortfolioYour Role: Own the ChallengeFor Austria, we are looking for a committed individual to take on product management responsibilities for AC drives and PLCs within the field of drive technology. In this role, you will be responsible for managing ABB products, systems, services, and solutions in the drive technology segment and act as a technical interface between our manufacturing sites, local sales organization, and customers.
  • Within the product areas of AC drives and PLCs, you will be responsible for technical support and consulting, market introduction, and strategic positioning of our products. You will also provide targeted support to our local Motion marketing responsible and maintain the relevant tools related to ABB products and services.
  • You will identify new product development opportunities and create innovative solutions to meet specific customer requirements. In addition to resolving technical inquiries related to drive systems and PLCs, often during on-site customer visits.
  • You will develop product and presentation materials, prepare training content, and deliver product and application training sessions on drive systems and digital solutions for internal and external stakeholders. Also you will represent ABB at trade fairs and events, showcasing our portfolio.
  • With a continuous overview of our product range and market trends, you will significantly contribute to business success. Your role will also include supporting price and delivery time definitions, participating in project-related quotation processes, and documenting all activities using our internal tools and the central CRM system, Salesforce.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
  • Completed technical education (HTL or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management of products and system solutions, preferably in the field of electric drive technology (electric motors, frequency converters, digital services, control systems, services)
  • High willingness to travel
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken; Category B driving license; strong proficiency in standard MS Office applications
  • Experience with the CRM tool Salesforce is an advantage
  • Cooperative and solution-oriented working style, confident negotiation skills, and strong presentation and communication abilities

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 4.400 gross per month as of May 2025.
