The Territory Manager Outdoor will drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within assigned territory, accounts and categories while promoting and representing the image of adidas Outdoor in the cluster.Key Responsibilities:Territory Management
- Understand account competitors and marketplace; utilize assessment, knowledge, and a brand management focus to adjust and drive sales through the account portfolio
- Be the Outdoor ambassador, actively participate in retailer, outdoor activity events and manage the account portfolio in the assigned territory
- Implement the customer and range segmentation and identify “must win” accounts for brand, categories and product franchises/tentpoles
- Establish professional and personal relationships to the relevant key decision makers and buyers of the accounts in territory as a prerequisite to making the adidas Group the 'preferred supplier'
- Support and where needed to represent the territory accounts internally as an 'expert' towards all functions and vice versa and help manage all interfaces
- Support the Director Sales/ Senior Manager Sales in the development of account strategies, formalizing them in Strategic Account Plans and get these signed off by the Senior Director Sales
- Collaborate with Global and Local Marketing and Sales to create seasonal GTM plans that include Brand and SMU programs as well as their activation
- Monitor sell-out and the order book continuously to ensure reliable and cost efficient supply for the account as well as to identify and capture selling opportunities to the account
- Support negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms and placement of key marketing stories
- Proactively develop and execute creative grassroots activities in alignment with Retail Activation Team with accounts to positively enhance brand image and increase demand with customers and consumers translating into sales growth
- Training of store staff of accounts in assigned territory with focus on establishing adidas Outdoor as the young, sustainable and innovative Outdoor brand
- Actively engage key customers and customer communities in adidas Outdoor events like Infinite Trails, Innsbruck Alpine Trail Run, Walser Trail Run, Crankworx IBK, etc.
- Measure progress on own KPIs and report to all superiors along MIS guidelines (KAM standard reports);
- Monitor and report on customers and competitors activities and propose/initiate/take actions;
- Support in making realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance;
- Ensure customer compliance with agreements;
- Global: Outdoor BU, adidas GTM, Global Product Marketing, Account Marketing, Sales Development Region EMEA
- Market: Customer Service, GTM, Operations, Planning, Controlling, Business Development
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Good business acumen
- Fluency in English & German is essential
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office package, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Teamplayer
- A strong understanding of retail sales practices and the ability to lay out practical and logical assortment plans based on retail space, inventory turn, and sell through.
- General knowledge of Outdoor trends, color, and the consistently changing retail environment
- Ability to travel
- Bachelor/Master degree;
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or GTM experience
- Exposure: sports, sales, marketing in outdoor
