DescriptionINNIO is currently seeking a Head of Mechanical & Electrical Project & Plant Engineering for our Customer Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing large-scale, complex engineering projects in the reciprocating engine and/or power generation industry. This role is responsible for driving the integration of mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, championing process optimization, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational goals. The Head of Project & Plant Engineering enables sales by providing expert system and concept engineering support for complex projects, reduces technical risks early in the process, and fosters collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. This position reports to the VP Customer Engineering.What we offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee and execute large-scale customer projects, ensuring efficient delivery and high satisfaction.
  • Integrate mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines to develop customized solutions.
  • Optimize processes and drive continuous improvement across engineering activities.
  • Align project strategies with organizational goals, manage resources, and mitigate risks.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Your Profile:
  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience in the reciprocating engine or power generation industry.
  • Proven leadership in managing complex engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in integrating mechanical and electrical engineering for product solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; fluent in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (
30%) and high personal integrity.The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.673,74 gross per month (x 14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.
