What is the context and company?This opportunity sits within a major European financial services group, known for its strong regional presence and commitment to digital innovation. The team is responsible for delivering robust, scalable systems that support critical financial operations across multiple countries.What will I be doing?You'll join a collaborative team focused on the development and support of a key financial consolidation and reporting platform. Your role will involve:
  • Enhancing and maintaining a complex consolidation system built on a widely used enterprise performance management platform.
  • Working with large datasets and ensuring the system runs efficiently and reliably.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across finance and IT to deliver accurate, timely reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and optimising system performance, including database queries and integrations.
  • Adapting to evolving business needs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on data modelling, system configuration, and performance tuning.What skills and profile will I need?
  • 3+ of experience working with enterprise consolidation platforms, particularly in data model customisation and report building.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, especially T-SQL, and experience with performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and application servers (e.g., SSIS) is a plus.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., German) are advantageous.
