As a Senior IT Administrator at refurbed, you will work closely with your colleague to maintain and enhance our IT systems, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to utilise your deep technical knowledge in Windows administration and networking to identify and resolve complex issues, implement best practices, and drive forward projects that enhance our IT infrastructure. Typically, around 40% of your time will be spent on supporting our staff (helpdesk).Technology we use includes: Office365, Microsoft Windows, Azure AD, UniFi Network.WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT administration, with a focus on Windows systems and networking.
  • At least intermediate understanding of Linux/Unix systems (installation, configuration, administration).
  • At least basic programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Experience working in a small team environment, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as present news to the company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Take ownership of maintaining and improving the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to drive projects aimed at enhancing system reliability, security, and performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Implement and enforce best practices and standards to optimise system functionality and security.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights and recommendations.
  • Document solutions, processes, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to internal staff through the IT helpdesk, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical challenges promptly and effectively. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering clear and concise solutions tailored to the end-user's needs and technical proficiency.
LOCATIONThis position is based in Vienna, Austria, and requires on-site work. However, remote work from home is an option, subject to coordination with your colleague.
