Offer DescriptionYour Responsibilities
  • Femtosecond laser spectroscopy of molecules and aggregates inside superfluid helium nanodroplets
  • Implementation of a Timepix3 event-based imaging detector to enable 3D momentum reconstruction
  • Time-resolved Coulomb explosion imaging experiments with a velocity map imaging spectrometer
  • Proof-of-concept experiments on intermolecular proton-coupled electron transfer inside helium droplets
  • Data analysis and interpretation, including simulations and interaction with theorists
  • Manuscript preparation and presentation of results at international conferences
Your Profile
  • Education record in atomic, molecular and optical physics, physical chemistry, spectroscopy
  • Experience with:
  • Femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopy
  • Molecular-beam setups and photoelectron/-ion detection
  • Hardware-related software development (Python, Matlab, …)
  • Interest in:
  • basic research questions in the field of femtochemistry
  • development of ultrafast spectroscopy setups
  • English and German language proficiency

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position.
