In this role, you will not only ensure accurate and compliant accounting but also help drive automation of repetitive tasks and improvement of finance processes using tools such as Power Queries, Python, and BI solutions.You will report directly to the Head of Accounting & Controlling and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.Together with you and your talent we want to make consumption sustainable and build the leading marketplace for refurbished products in Europe.   • You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or similar.
  • You bring 4-6+ years of professional experience in accounting and/or audit (UGB; IFRS is a plus), ideally in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  • You are a proficient user of Excel and have strong expertise with accounting/ERP systems (ideally BMD); experience with BI tools is an advantage.
  • You demonstrate high attention to detail, a structured working style, and a strong ownership mentality.
  • You show a can-do mentality and focus on solutions rather than limitations.
  • You are a team player with a hands-on and contribute ideas to improve future processes.
  • You are motivated by combining finance with automation and digital tools and want to contribute to a company with a positive mission.
  • You are fluent in English and German.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • You manage day-to-day accounting operations for five legal entities.
  • You perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity across ledgers.
  • You support monthly reporting and annual closings and assist in preparing UGB-compliant financial statements (IFRS experience is a plus).
  • You take ownership of VAT reporting across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • You maintain and improve internal process documentation (SOPs) and controls.
  • You liaise cross-functionally (e.g., Operations, Marketing, People) to ensure smooth financial workflows and correct accounting treatment.
  • You support the annual audit by preparing documentation and handling auditor inquiries.
  • You drive automation and efficiency gains across finance processes and tools.
Additional factors we appreciate
  • Experience building interfaces that connect big data platforms to accounting systems, particularly for reconciliations, is a major plus
  • You are experienced in e-commerce or any fast paced environments, especially when it comes to handling complex transaction flows
