We encourage you to think outside the box, leverage data-driven insights, experiment with new ideas, and contribute your unique perspective.We are looking for a Senior US Tax Preparer (m/f/d) to join our team and directly represent MyExpatTaxes by providing expert tax consulting and preparation services to our clients on our premium services.
You will work closely with a team of experienced tax professionals to prepare and review federal and state income tax returns, conduct tax research as needed and analyzing complex tax issues to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients. Additionally, you will represent our company by leading webinars or speaking at events tailored to our target audience.This is a fixed-term, one-year contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.Your profileWe’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive mindset and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
To be successful in your tasks, you should be able to ensure your clients comply with IRS regulations and work to minimize their tax liabilities. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be essential as you review client financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant records to confirm accuracy and adherence.Hard requirements:
  • Degree in taxation or accounting or similar (or equivelant work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years work experience with preparing US taxes
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills (must be able to take 1x1 calls with clients confidently)
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • You are a self-starter and able to work well independently
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • English C1 minimum (company language is English)
  • IRS Enrolled Agent or CPA
Ideal skills:
  • One year or more of experience preparing US expat tax returns, indivudal and business
  • You’re familiar working with web applications

Following the guidelines of the Austrian collective bargaining agreement for IT, we offer a minimum annual gross salary of € 44.450.
