- Define and execute global and regional strategies for project-related services, aligned with business goals.
- Identify opportunities and service providers offering competitive advantages in cost, functionality, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Delivery, Program Management, Bids, and Sales to understand service requirements and project needs.
- Support bid teams by ensuring competitive pricing and procurement solutions aligned with overall category strategy
- Build, manage, and develop relationships with subcontractors to meet evolving project and market demands
- Lead contract negotiations and establish subcontractor agreements.
- Evaluate suppliers using data-driven methods to ensure optimal selection.
- Monitor and understand key economic/category-specific cost drivers and market trends.
- Provide stakeholders with regular insights and updates on market developments and pricing trends.
- Lead initiatives to build best-in-class practices for category management.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of category spend data and regular reporting on performance, savings, and strategy execution.
- Collaborate with SCM Excellence & Controlling to deliver impactful reports and insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field – or equivalent experience in project or technical roles
- 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships/networks across diverse teams and functions.
- Proven leadership ability in managing cross-functional projects and driving results in dynamic environments.
- Ability to align technical or project priorities with broader organizational goals.
- Adaptability to learn and apply new concepts quickly, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of Category Management and Strategic Sourcing processes, procedures, practices & techniques in developing and executing category strategies a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen, including the ability to present complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
