By strengthening oversight and building trusted partnerships, you’ll help safeguard the quality and consistency of the services our customers rely on. Your work behind the scenes plays a vital role in expanding access to secure financial services across borders and communities. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business in a regional and global environment — ideal for someone who wants to shape how we work with partners and protect the customer experience and manage regulatory expectations.Role Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen and evolve WUIB’s outsourcing oversight framework to meet regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain outsourcing policies and procedures, including risk assessment methodologies to ensure compliance and operational transparency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to monitor service performance and drive improvements.
  • Lead regular reviews of outsourcing agreements and service level commitments.
  • Support teams with expert guidance on outsourcing matters and help define KPIs to measure efficiency and risk.
  • Identify and address service issues, maintain oversight records, and contribute to internal control enhancements.
  • Support strategic business initiatives to establish the relevant governance framework for new or changing outsourced services.
  • Build strong partnerships with providers and represent the function as a member of the WUIB Risk Committee.
Role requirements:
  • Experience in outsourcing oversight, risk management, internal controls, compliance or audit — ideally 7+ years, but we welcome diverse backgrounds with transferable skills.
  • A pragmatic mindset — able to balance regulatory requirements with real-world solutions that work for teams and customers.
  • Dynamic and adaptable — comfortable navigating change and driving improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of European financial regulations (e.g. EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, CRR/CRD, PSD, MiFID, DORA) — and a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
  • Familiarity with retail banking products and operations is helpful, but not essential.
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills — you enjoy working with others to solve problems.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and working with data.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%) as part of a supportive and connected team.
